Sugar Ridge Golf Club
About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Lot up updates
I've been playing Sugar for about 10 years. The course is in the best shape I've ever seen it. They have had a few spot over the years that were in bad shape. They have addressed all of them. The greens are perfect. They are building new homes on the course...they don't interfere with play. They have also put in a lot of new cart path. They raised the greens fees, but at least you can see they are putting money into the course.
Nice staff but pace of play was too slow
The course was in pretty good early season shape. Greens were nice and rolled true. Fairways were mostly dormant but ok. The big issue was pace of play. 3 hours for the front nine and over 2 1/2 hours for the back nine. Just too long. They need to limit the tee times for the rounds to be enjoyable.
Tee times
Shouldn't allow people to start tee times if you have others who got tee times
The tee boxes are not in good condition and every fairway is yellow in color and lifeless, not sure what happened to them but very disappointed. The greens are however in great condition this early in the season and the staff is very friendly.
When a long delay!
Nice course and friendly staff. But, after having to wait over an to hour past our start time was ridiculous! They were happy to charge full price upfront, but didn’t even have the respect to tell us about the hour plus long delay, until we had already paid. Great management/customer service!!!
Sugar Ridge
Too early in the year for an overall excellent review. Very wet in places but played 18 in 3 hours!
Greens in great shape
The course is well kept .fairways and greens in beautiful condition
All around great experience.
Course lays out very tough for someone playing for the first time. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming as I brought my children with me during the round (5) and (12). Greens are in excellent condition with the amount of rain we have had and considering most lay in low land. Overall would recommend to anyone and plan to pay it again.
Sugar Ridge
Not a good course for Seniors. Too many Cart path only. Too much walking for Seniors. But Course is in great condition. Good greens.
