Sugar Ridge Golf Club
About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Sugar ridge rocks
I played this course 2 years ago before a total knee replacement surgery and now I'm back again. Was(2yrs ago) the nicest courses around the tristate area. A whole lot of construction projects on the course going on while you playing and other construction companies are building all over the course as well. Thestaff is top notch and super helpful and friendly. I can't wait till all of the construction is finished and gone and they can focus more on the courses issues and get it back to 100 percent PERFECTION once again.
Good
For the price, this was a good course. The only negative is the pace of play.
Poor pace
Stopped playing here because pace of play. Decided to give it another try and sat on the 1st tee box for a solid 30 minutes. The twosome with us had to leave after 9 holes because sitting on each tee for 15 minutes, they ran out of time. Not sure why they never send people off the back 9. Beautiful course but has to be the worse pace of play in the tri state.
Fair but honest
Greens were freshly mowed and therefore fast. As with MOST courses the extremely lazy players don't repair there ball marks. Not caused by the course but by lazy players. I like this course but it sees a lot of play and I don't know how to solve the LAZY player problem that a lot of courses experience.
Beautiful Course
This course has its challenges, but it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning. The course was very well maintained. Every staff member was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Pace was a little slow, but thats about it. I will play again soon!
First time
Liked the course, funky layout, but fun. However, the cart path is in terrible shape. Have a chiropractor on speed dial.
Average with bad course management
The course itself had some drainage issues and a lot of ongoing construction between the holes. They put a 4 and 3 ball out before our two ball and as a result we took 5 1/2 hours to complete a very frustrating round. At one point their was 4 different groups on one hole. A starter on the first hole when it’s this busy would help.
Sugar Ridge Golf
Course was in very poor condition, you could have a good shot just off the fairways and could not find your ball in the rough. Will not play here again. If the price were less it may be worth it but not when they are charging what a really nice course is charging.
Dynamic Layout
Played on a busy Saturday. Pace of play as expected. No hole is the same and kept group intrigued by course. Rough could use some work to eliminate clover, however fairways, collars and greens well kept. Course is fair and if you are staying in play, a good score is awaiting. Would play again gladly.
Slow Slow Slow
Quit after 5 holes. Two groups waiting on 2 thru 5
