Beckett Ridge Country Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
5 star all around
Just finished playing this gem. Located on a ridge in Cincinnati this is one of the tougher courses I’ve played in the area. I was told the course record was 65. I didn’t even sniff that. Shot a solid 82. What a track. After I finished 18, I asked the guy working the pro shop if I could pay and play another 9, he told me to get back out there and have the cart back before dark. Ended up playing 5 holes on the back 9 that gave me trouble on the first go round. Greens were fast and fairways were clean. 10/10 course would recommend to anyone in the area.
Getting better and better
Course is in great shape. Pace of play was perfect.
Clubhouse is finally open!
Terrible tee-boxes
Rest of course was fine..not great. Tee boxes were in terrible shape. It was awful.
This place is a joke
Had a 7:00 am tee time on a Sunday 7/15. Pulled into the parking lot only to see the find several groups waiting for the staff to arrive. After waiting for forty minutes for the staff to arrive my group decided to leave without playing. By the time we left the parking lot was packed, and the staff had yet to show up. Total disaster… This was my last attempt to play this track, what a shame…
Be prepared to wait
Had to wait on almost every shot, never saw a marshall.. After a 5 1/2 hour round with no clubhouse. I’ll pass on coming back.
On the Mend?
Fairways are in great condition.
Some of the tee boxes need attention and repair.
Car path are atrocious like driving on a mine field.
Very hilly course no flat greens.
Pro shop is working out of a fifth wheel travel trailer. New clubhouse under construction.
A lot of maintenance activity going on Green tenders, cutting grass, etc sand traps in excellent condition.
Located in a residential neighborhood many of the houses are well off the fairway.
On the Mend
Course appears to once have been part of a large country club. The original clubhouse is to the right of the 18th tee and along with tennis courts and pool has been abandoned.
The course conditions were above an average; however, they were aerating the fairways and I was not told in advance. Greens were in very good condition, but they have abandoned or grad over most of the green side bunkering.
The layout is over some very severe terrain in spots that yields so holes with big elevation changes. Some of these holes work and some like the second are head scratchers.
Course is worth a play if the price is right.
Condition
The course was being air rated with plugs in the fairway
Great Course, good things to come
So great to see this course come back. The fall of Beckett Ridge is well known, but course conditions are back to some of the best in the area. Fairways are trim and clean, tee boxes are nice, and greens are receptive yet fast and pure. Yes, cart paths are rough and the lack of clubhouse and range isn't great, but a new clubhouse is under way and no doubt the paths are high on the list for future improvements. Excited to see what the future holds (hopefully staying public for riff raff like me)
