Legendary Run Golf Club
About
Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the Legendary Run, an affordable facility that offers country club-caliber golf in spic-and-span surroundings and with what management calls "the friendliest service in the world." Scottish links golf courses inspired the front nine of the golf course, which sits on 200 acres of land and features six lakes, and holes are named accordingly: Troon, St. Andrews and Turnberry, for some examples. It's a different story on the back nine, which weaves through woods and was influenced by holes closer to home, such as those found at Augusta, Winged Foot and Shinnecock.
Book two weeks in advance to ensure you get on for a round on the Legendary Run golf course, and leave your metal spikes at home - there's no reason to worry, as, conditions permitting, you can take your golf cart off the path if necessary. A far cry from Cincinnati's recreational golf courses, this one requires a collared shirt (mock, if you must) and non-denim pants (shorts work, too). The pro shop will dress you if need be.
A bonus for eco-thinking golfers: The Legendary Run counts itself among the members of the Audubon Sanctuary Program and enforces respect of the natural habitat.

Legendary Run
For the money, with the greens being punched it is overpriced to play here. The course is very hard (firm) needs watered significantly, and there are a ton of of bare spots most likely from not watering.
If the right person owned this course it could be a spectacular track. But needs a lot of improvements before I will go back to this track.
2 hr 50 min for 9 holes
Booked a reservation Saturday to play Sunday. Arrived to the course an hour before the scheduled tee time then learned of a 2 hour delay, caused by frost. As expected the course was able to improve on that time so it was closer to a 75 min delay once we finally teed off. From there it was a waiting game all day until we decided to end the misery after 9 holes (paid for 18). The course was in fine shape, sunny day, carts could scatter. But play was moving at a snail’s pace. Unfortunately we did not see a ranger at any point during the round to encourage faster pace of play or to give any updates. While weather is certainly out of their control, you might expect some guidance from the pro shop prior to taking payment, and for staff to do whatever possible to improve the experience. While I wouldnt rule out returning in the future, it will take some time to get the bad taste of this experience out of mind.
Used to be much better
I realize we played in the season, so some wear and tear was to be expected, but I’ve seen this course in much better condition. Tee markers looked as if they hadn’t been move in weeks, fairways were scalped, and greens were just ridiculous. When greens are this sloped, you need to slow them down a bit, they were just impossible to putt, and all groups we encountered said the same thing. As far as trying to get an approach shot to the green to stop, forget it. Anything hitting the green went right off the back into trouble. Did not make for happy golfers
Tall grass
First time playing the course score card doesn’t show you the flow of the course and signage was poor. Some of the whorls are spread out. Also grass was very tall if you were just little out of the fairway hard to find your ball. It is a hilly challenging course so tall grass is not good. Especially when u don’t know the course.
Nice Course
Course is really nice especially for this time of the year. The only bad thing here is the pace of play. It was awful. There was a varying degree of talent causing the pace of play to really back up. The staff were friendly. Other amenities were great.
Very Poor Customer Service
We play there regularly and have never had a problem. Young man at the front desk had no personality and had words with several members of our party. Senior rate on Friday before 11am is $42. In order to get that rate he required each person to provide name, telephone number and email address. Otherwise they had to pay $59. He had words with several members of out party and told them they either provided the info or the rate would be $59, or they couldn't play. Never required this before and we generally play there every month or so. Also, their policy is NO HANDICAP FLAGS. We have several on our group of 12-16 that have documented health conditions. The rangers didn't care and told us everyone had to comply with the cart path rules, no exceptions. Unbelievable that they do not make accomodations for the handicap. Again, we've never had this issue before. I don;t know if they changed ownership or management but they are definitely accomodating or fcustomer friendly. Won't be going back there for the forseeable future even though the course if nice. and fun to plat.
Nice course
Like the mix of links style and American style nines.
Legendary
Very nice course. Good value for the money. Country club feel for public course price. Great course conditions and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone who plays.
Good Track
I always enjoy getting out to Legendary a couple of times each year. Staff was great. Quick check in. Nice cart (no GPS). Fairways and greens in great shape. Bunkers could use a little love though. Not many public courses keep their bunkers up around here though, so used to it. Will be back.
