Aston Oaks Golf Club
About
Aston Oaks Golf Club is perched atop rolling hills that overlook the Ohio River Valley. The Jack Nicklaus Design Group created the course, which sits on the former land of President William Henry Harrison. Although his presidency was short lived, traces of his legacy in Ohio can be seen throughout the golf course. Each hole was carefully carved from stands of mature white oak, hickory, and other native hardwoods. The course is tight and demanding with fast greens and plenty of elevation changes. The abundance of trees really characterizes the course. Between the 10th tee and the 11th green, there is a giant Buckeye tree that is the largest in the state. With all of the trees lining the fairways there was hardly a need to add bunkers, but there are some incorporated along the greensides that help to define some holes.

Ron
Great course , layout , best conditions fairways , tee boxes , greens all stellar .
Course in great shape
I got out early and the course was in awesome shape.
Excellent Course
Well maintained. Pace of play slow as it was a holiday weekend. Very enjoyable.
Perfect day
Super friendly staff. Great pace of play.
Grass is in great condition for being early in the year. I'm not a great golfer, but shot 104 which is better than what I shoot on easier courses.
Good layout but in bad shape
Aston Oaks has a lot of potential -- the layout is interesting and challenging., Right now, the course is in pretty poor shape. Several fairways are dead, a couple tee boxes are unusable, and holes 16-18 have some pretty severe construction going on. Be prepared in case you plan to play sometime this spring.
Great experience
First time playing here, and the weather was very cold. But the course had covered carts and rentable heaters. The course itself was in great condition! I’ll be back to play again!
Loved the course.
Loved the course. Very friendly staff. Very reasonably pricing. It was a cold day. They offered us an enclosed cart with a heater for $5. This was a first for me. We'll definitely recommend!
PICTURESQUE AUTUMN ROUND OF GOLF
This Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is always a very enjoyable place to play golf. The layout is as challenging as the tee boxes chosen to play from. Course was in excellent condition as tees and fairways were lush and very well seeded with no bare spots. There are beautiful houses and condos lining the entire course with an outstanding view of the ohio river from a hole on the back nine. Greens were very good and putted true. We enjoyed a very good lunch from a wide selection of menu items. Alcohol and beer selections were available from a very well stocked bar. Dining either inside or outside facing the 9th hole is available. While being a public course amenities are more similar to a private country club, driving range and electric carts add to a very enjoyable round. During winter covered carts with heaters are also provided. The overall quality of the course ranks it among the best in tristate area. Our hot deal round from golf now made the cost to play a very reasonable $22.50 with a noon start time with very few other golfers on the course. That is another plus of playing autumn weekday golf.
Absolutely beautiful, hilly course
Loved the Nicklaus design on this expansive, hilly course. It was challenging and so pretty. We paused several times to admire the views. We will travel back to the area to play here again!
The layout is perfect
Jack Nicklaus design is fantastic he did an awesome job and you will see when you play the course nice surroundings and plenty of wildlife to look at.
Pace of Play is a killer
Went there a few months back during the week and after 3hrs i was done with 8 holes so I left figuring it's just that day. Went back last week to play in a foursome and it took 6.5hrs to play 18. Pace of play was absolutely terrible. Not sure if they are overbooking but I will not be going back there anytime soon. I can only imagine the pace of play is on weekends or holiday.
