About
Aston Oaks Golf Club is perched atop rolling hills that overlook the Ohio River Valley. The Jack Nicklaus Design Group created the course, which sits on the former land of President William Henry Harrison. Although his presidency was short lived, traces of his legacy in Ohio can be seen throughout the golf course. Each hole was carefully carved from stands of mature white oak, hickory, and other native hardwoods. The course is tight and demanding with fast greens and plenty of elevation changes. The abundance of trees really characterizes the course. Between the 10th tee and the 11th green, there is a giant Buckeye tree that is the largest in the state. With all of the trees lining the fairways there was hardly a need to add bunkers, but there are some incorporated along the greensides that help to define some holes.

Fantastic Course
Probably one of the better if not best public courses in Cincy area. Challenging layout with tons of elevation. Would not recommend walking tho. Only one or two tee boxes were beat up but other than that excellent condition. Beverage service on course. Top notch club house.too. My go to course to play.

Disappointed
I am not sure what has happened to this course. The tee boxes were full of divots with no apparent attempt at repairing them.. The greens were full of ball marks. Some fairways were in good shape but overall a huge disappointment. I do realize it is April but there is no excuse for letting a beautiful course go so far downhill.

Beautiful course
I absolutely love this course. It’s extremely challenging but worth a visit. It’s one of my be most beautiful courses in Cincinnati. Especially when all the flowers are in bloom. It’s expensive. So I only go a few times a year. Nice range and practice greens.

Beware pace of play & conditons
The good: pro shop attendant and starter were both excellent, challenging layout, carts are top notch as well
Everything else: Fairways, tee boxes, and most greens in desperate need of tlc(which is somewhat expected late in season but it was a bit much). Pace of play is atrocious, no rangers keeping people on time. I asked a duo of older gentleman who kept taking ten practice swings and putts per hole to let me through, which they initially did before cussing me out the very next hole. Staff was apologetic but I had to skip 3 holes and saw the massive logjam of trios as I drove ahead. With some tlc and pace of play improvements could be really nice, but not worth the 48 bucks at the moment. Any other architect besides Nicklaus and the conditions matched a 25 dollar run down muni at best.
